We charge for our work on an hourly basis, and as such the fee will naturally depend upon the complexity of the case, the volume of material submitted for review, and the services required.
Enquiries are welcome and we would be pleased to provide you with details of our tariff schedule. If required, a quotation can be provided after a preliminary review of the materials and discussion with you regarding the case and your needs. On occasion it may be possible to agree a fixed fee for provision of services, and in some circumstances we may be able to accept the local government rate for legally-aided clients.
In addition to fees for production of expert reports, court appearances and other duties are also billed at the agreed hourly rate, with additional terms in accordance with the current billing guidelines as published by the British Columbia Medical Association/Doctors of BC.
A non-refundable minimum retainer of Ca$ 1,500 is required at the time of engagement. This retainer will be credited to the subsequent fee for services. The retainer is not required in cases when public funding such as legal aid is approved.
